[This post (in response to a request for help on posting photos to the Bulletin Board) is a copy of the relevant BB Help topic on this subject with a small amount of material added.]
HOW TO POST PHOTO ALBUMS Start in the Members Gallery Forum. or Photo Contest Forum . Click the "New " tab and then the "Photo Album" link. A photo album wizard will take you through the following steps:
If you are the owner of the album, you may edit the album after it has gone live by using the "edit" icon [ ] in the bottom right corner of the gallery view.phil See also the following related topics:

Phil,
I tried to start posting my albums. I got as far as filling in the first 9 files to upload, when I clicked Next, I received an error message: "TOPIC_OID is a mandatory field. You must enter a value for it". What does this mean? When I clicked on Go Back, it just took me back to the Upload page. Bonnie J. |

I have encoutered that message before but not sure what it means. As a workaround, I will do the following:
1. Pick out the 12 photos I want to upload to the album. 2. Shrink the photo size of the 12 photos to be 1 MB or less. 3. Zip the 12 photos (i.e. Using WinZip). When when I'm ready to upload the photos to the bulletin board, I reference to the zip file instead of the picture files. Presto, all 12 photos show up in the album. Be patient when uploading as it can take a few minutes depending on the speed of your Internet access. |

I haven't solved this problem. As soon as someone adds a comment, the posts are out of position. Dragon or Phil, can you help?

I'm about to post my albums and would also like to know how to keep everything together.
It would be nice if you could set up one album, then save it, go onto the next one, etc., then post them one after the other. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Bonnie J, |

Sadly, the news is bad! What you have observed is an element of how Bulletin Boards operate. As soon as someone comments on your post (album or otherwise), the post rises to the top of the pile. This is the reason I started the topic: "Where Are All the Tales?" because in quite a short time after Tour Tales are posted, they disappear from page 1 of the Forum.
One suggestion that I can give to those who have also posted a "Tour Tale" is to include a set of links somewhere in your tour tale to the albums you have posted relevant to that tour. Another suggestion is to find someone willing to create a directory of all the albums posted and then maintain it as new albums are posted. Another suggestion from BB member SKI is for posters of multiple photo albums to include a link in the "comment" section of a each album to the next album in the series. Incidentally, only the BB Moderator (John) is able to move posts around on the Bulletin Board. phil This message has been edited. Last edited by: phil, |

Phil, your idea worked! Thanks, I have added links to my other two photo sets to my tour tale.

Hello and thank you for the helpful info.
I found that after my album was posted, some photos are thumbnail size and some are fine. When I reviewed before posting they were all the same, right size. Any ideas on how to correct this problem? Photos are under Jennie Kendrick jkjkgvnv@aol.com[/EMAIL] Thank you |

Jennie, Dragon has added a post, below, in the comment section of your photos post, near the middle of the page explaining what has happened and has a suggestion for redoing some of the photos. Since you say they looked fine before you posted them I am not sure this will help, but may be worth a try.
