Just curious if anyone else was going on this trip. This will be our first tour and we are really excited about it. I am worried about packing and what to bring carry-on so let me know if anyone who has gone on this trip has any recommendations. Also, for anyone who has already made this trip, please let me know what your favorite part of the trip was and what your least favorite was. Thanks and look forward to hearing from everyone.

This is also our first tour, so exciting isn't it? I have had not much response from others doing the Road to Rome. We are leaving Aug.29 (actually we're leaving a day early from Canada, Aug.28). I have only seen others leaving the week before us, and now you, a few weeks after us. As 1st timers, we are very excited but also a little nervous, not quite knowing what to expect. Everything I hear is good, but you know, until we're there and in the "tour mode", we'll be a little nervous I guess. Hope your trip is awesome, and hopefully I'll have time to get on this BB after we get back.

I see you are starting your trip in 2 days - you must be so excited and in the final stages of packing by now.
I haven't had much time to write about our trip but wanted to give you a very quick message. Our trip was totally awesome! We loved pretty much everything, and every place that we visited. I had done a fair bit of research before we left, but I didn't even look at my papers while there, we were too busy having fun! All I can say it, relax, enjoy the ride and those OHHHHH moments. I had quite a few of those, seeing the Eifel tower for the 1st time, the trip to Mount Pilatus, the "ancient" rome, the Louvre, Mona Lisa, David, too many to list. Venice is a magical place, probably my favourite stop (which I wasn't expecting). HOpe your tour director is as great as ours was (Andrew), and your driver (Fabio).
I'll check in in a few weeks, to see how you made out - this trip was the best for us!
