We are going crazy. We started with a 2 week trip in Israel May 2010. Then decided to tack on a week or so in Egypt. I must have 100 pieces of paper- various tours; prices all over the place. Can someone point us to a good moderately priced tour that included the Nile? Thanks!!

You've asked a very difficult question. There are so many variables...time, budget, sites, etc. I would say that it would be a good idea to add Egypt and you won't be sorry. All of the tours include some portion of the Nile. And, if you book a second tour with Insight you receive a 5% discount on the lesser cost tour. Good luck to you. John...I just booked back to back tours with Insight and they refused to give me the 5% discount on the second tour (the lesser cost one).
Jo...both Insight and Trafalgar offer several Egypt tours, all of which include anywhere from 3 to 7 days on the Nile. I recommend any Nile cruise that is 5 days or less (the 7 day has an entire day sailing on the Nile and I think that day could be better spent going to Alexandria). I was looking at going before I booked Israel/Jordan for next month and Trafalgar's Best of Egypt was my choice. I've been to Egypt before, and for a return, that tour covered everything I wanted to see including the Abu Simbel optional and Alexandria. Chech, I just re-checked the Insight terms re: the 2nd tour discount and see that it does not apply to Egypt, Israel, Jordan etc. Jo, sorry for the misinformation.
