We are doing the Splendours of Egypt tour in October. Can anyone tell us how payment of extra incidentals,(additional drinks etc) on board the cruise ship is handled? Do you pay up front in cash or do you give them your credit card details and they bill you. Any advice would be appreciated.

Either or...At both the hotel in Cairo and onboard the Giselle, I charged items to my room and paid by VISA on the last night. I also paid for drinks with cash on the last night (Giselle) after I had already settled my account earlier.

If I remember correctly, you will have to pay up front (cash or credit) if you buy anything at the ship's small stores.
