We are booked on the Easy Pace Turkey and Greece tour/cruise out of Istanbul on 1 Oct. I think the ship is the Crystal. I heard from people who had been on the Aquamarine last year that there were luggage restrictions. Does anyone know about luggage restrictions on the Crytal? Thanks!

I'm not sure what you mean by luggage restrictions - I can tell you that the cabins on the Crystal are small and do not have much room for luggage (and storage of luggage). However, if you are within the Insight luggage guidelines, you shouldn't have a problem.

I don't think there were any luggage restrictions on the Cristal but the rooms (as on any cruise ship) were not big: although ours was bigger than some we've had on big cruise lines.

Thanks Tully and Brooklyn. The restrictions on Aquamarine I referred to were that you could only take carry on luggage, not suitcases. Meanwhile I looked up the Cristal on the internet and saw some photos of the cabins. We will be within Insight guidelines so should be OK.

Hmmmmm....I was on the Aquamarine during our Grecian Dreams tour in April. There were NO luggage restrictions that I am aware of. Both my wife and I each had a suitcase and a carry-on.

Most curious then as my source is reliable. Anyway, I am quite reassured by your comments that we will be fine with our luggage on the Cristal. Many thanks.

Would someone who has been on this ship or any other Louis Cruise Line explain what the A, B and C designations compare to with the cruise line's categories. For instance, when you look at the categories on the Louis Cruise Lines site, they give about 15-20 different categories.

Hi Annie, well we are booked on A class on the Aquamarine for late September and our TA indicated this would be in cabins with a larger square window on the Promenade Deck which is one of the highest accommodation decks. Hope this helps.

Sorry, I meant 'higher level' decks on the ship.

Thank you - it sounds like the TAs would have this info when we're ready to book a trip
