Hola amigos
Don't worry that's the only Spanish you need to know for now. My name is Mark Wheeler and I will be conducting the 'Highlights of Spain' from Madrid on September 18th. The tour is great, intense, and we get to grips with the essence of the varied culture of Spain. I hope you enjoy our journey of discovery both on and off the bus. Insight vacations are unique in the wonderful cultural blend that make up our tour groups returning year after year. And meeting fellow passengers and making new friends is just as much a part of our journey as the fabulous country which makes up the backdrop to our experience.
If you are on this tour, or indeed any other tour of this part of Europe, then don't hesitate to post any questions. If, like me, you are a little anxious about the weather, there is generally nothing to worry about. Somewhere between warm and hot is the usual forecast but if you've got as far as reading this I'm sure you can find msn weather or wunderground to get an up to date ten day forecast just before departure. A light jacket for the evenings – just in case – and long trousers for the dinners are recommended but not essential, and hopefully we won't be pulling those Insight umbrellas out from under the bus.

Hi Mark

Good luck with your upcoming tour. I'm perusing the board to satisfy my travel lust. Unfortunately, it's work at the moment, although we did have a holiday in Thailand recently - a nice HOT time away from our winter. We were on your Spain, Portugal and Morocco tour last September, which we thoroughly enjoyed - although it would have been better without the Morocco part!!!! I'm the one who passed out on the boat.

Nice to hear from you. I remember being quite worried about you on the boat. Funny how on just about every tour we have a nurse or two on board the bus and more often than not a doctor (in our case two, with Margret and Paul). Morocco was a bit muddy as I remember and Ramadan always makes the experience a little stronger. I am pleased you enjoyed the tour and as I recall you and Gordon did one of our Italian tours before the SPaM. Gordon used to play football so I don't suppose he is that fussed aboout cricket, but as an ex-Pom he probably had something to snmile about last weekend. Not long before next year's brochure comes out. Take care.

Just a quick weather update. Looks like we're going to need a pullover in the evenings as the Spanish weathermen woefully predict the end of summer this week... Daytime temps still in the 20's C or 70's F, though. Look forward to meeting you in my stylish Insight tie.
