Dear Carl -

With interest I have been following your and your colleagues' posts on this bulletin board. It appears to me, however, that you keep replying to your own posts in order for your thread to show on top of everyone else's (for those readers who don't know what I am talking about, check the time stamp on others' posts - you will most likely find a post by Carl, within the hour, and most likely informing us that "the weather in Vienna is sunny and mild"). Unfortunately, these post shine in quantity, but lack in substance and quality, and display a certain disposition to competitiveness reflecting, in my modest opinion, negatively upon you as a tour director, and Insight Vacations. Surprisingly, nobody has picked up on this so far, or at least not voiced any discontent.

We all appreciate everyone's efforts, opinions and the great amount of information available to the interested reader. But please, if you don't have anything valuable to contribute, remain silent until you do!

Dear Melbournegirl,
thanks for sharing your opinion, this is exactly what this forum is all about! I am trying to give my visitors to my home town Vienna the best and most recent tips and ideas of what to do when in Vienna. This encompasses current art exhibitions (like the "Impressionism" at Albertina), museums off the beaten track, restaurants with typical food (like "Plachutta", "Marchfelderhof"), cafés and - yes - if the weather is fine, swimming pools and the like where you can mix and mingle with the locals.
As for today, a nice and sunny autumn day, I highly recommend to go to a "Heurigen" restaurant in Grinzing and sit outdoors in the sun, something we love to do here in Vienna. Not for much longer, unlike Melbourne we do expect grizzly, rainy and cold weather for the next 5 months. I try to give as much detail for any of our clients travelling right now!
Hope to see you soon on one of my tours, in case you need some advice for my city, wonderful Vienna and Central Europe, I am here to help!
Just send me an E-mail cary.eggeling@hotmail.com, I'll share my great city's culture and history with you !
I will make sure that my information is even more detailed in the future to make it even more worthwhile for you to read (I am very happy that you read it till today...thank you!)

Carl,
I'm delighted to know about the weather in Vienna. I can picture the city in the sunshine and wish I was back there. I enjoy your alerts about exhibitions etc.

Carl,
Melbourngirl makes a vaild point. If you want to keep eveyone informed do it in a different forum, Not the Tour Director Introductions.
