Thanks for your regular posts Carl. We won't be in Vienna until early July, but your updates inform my planning.

Hi Sandy g,
great Hotel! When you arrive in Vienna there is an express train for 9 Euro fare one way (CAT City Airport Train) and it is 5 min walking from the downtown stop to the Hilton Vienna (there are two other Hiltons in town: Danube H and Plaza H., just to make sure). I'll check what's on this weekend and I'll give you some suggestions Kind regards Carl (with a C)

Hi Carl

Is it a problem to take luggage on the express train?

Thank you

not at all, you just roll it on and off the train, I always do use this train, it takes only 16 minutes to downtown, it's A/C and convenient. When returning to the airport for departure, most airlines offer downtown check-in at train station, they take your bags right there and you get your boarding pass right there!

Kind regards to all of you Carl "with a C"

The Romantic Europe tour I am taking starts May
21 and ends June 12. What type of weather and clothing should one expect to need starting in London through Vienna? Is summer clothing appropriate or will it still be chilly, i.e.
65-70 F.? I read that May in London is considered summer, but temperatures suggest otherwise.

Hi Aggy, it will be perfect for summer weather, of course an early weather forecast is not possible, but experience tells us it will be perfect summer weather with temperatures around 25 to 30 C (about 70 to 90 F). But: always pack a sweater and prepare for cold spells, it is a three week tour and we are going thru the mountains. Oh, by the way: I'll be your Tour Director! Stay in touch, I will keep you informed!

Hi Carl with a "C". Would you by any chance be the tour director for the "Highlights of Eastern Europe" tour starting Vienna October 3? Hope so. Regards, Jenny.
