Dear Readers and Fellow Travelers:

This morning we concluded the very last "Highlights of Eastern Europe" program of the 2009 summer season with a wonderful group of people from the U.S., Canada, Singapore, Australia and even from the Russian Federation.

2009 has been an interesting year, and I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you, our loyal readers, for your continuous feedback and thoughts; my guests on the trips I was guiding (who were very often repeat Insight travelers, having frequently completed 5 or more Insight tours) for choosing Insight, and for having been fantastic travel companions this year.

Furthermore a big "Thank You!" to our operations and support team in London for always being there in the background and making our life on the road easier, helping out with last-minute requests and putting out the occasional fire.

Last, but not least, I want to thank all our partners and suppliers in European cities - hotel receptionists, luggage porters, restaurant and hospitality staff, our local guides and agents - for having us, and providing excellent service. This includes our outstanding team of coach drivers, without whom a successful completion of our tours would not be possible.

In the meantime, our European Winter holidays are about to debut. How about sharing a mug of hot, steaming Gluehwein at one of Europe's colorful Christmas Markets with your traveling companions on an Insight "Winter Wonderland" trip?

Thinking about 2010 already?
