Hi Marie, unfortunatly I was a little slow in writing it all up (due to other commitments) but at least I did eventually get it done.Smiler and I'm glad you thought it was worth the effort of reading it . Big Grin

Dragon, I thought you didn't like this trip since you did not mention it much.
I stayed up way past my bedtime to finish reading it.

It was simply a matter of not enough available time to do the report Marie and while I have finished my video of the BB tour, I still haven't even looked at my videos of Prague and Turkey let alone edited them. Frowner

Oh well, that will be a task for the new year. Big Grin

Dragon,

I notice that you have linked to graphics hidden behind password protection on Windows Live Storage. These graphics may be showing up on your PC because having logged onto your storage site and embedded them in your journal, a copy of each graphic will have been stored amongst your Browser's "Temporary Internet Files" (your browsing history).

Easiest way is to store these photos on the Insight BB and link from there.

DRAGON.....

I believe your recent TALE contains hyperlinks for viewing your photo journal, along the way. (Correct me if we're mistaken.)

We are however, unable to open the links. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi Phil and TC

Thanks for that and yes I am aware that I seem to have a problem with the photos in the report.

When I was at a friend’s place for dinner last night he told me that the photos do not show up on his PC. We checked - and he was correct but when I arrived home I still found that they are all showing OK for me (even when not logged into the BB).

I have been working on the problem this morning but still have no solution. The Photos are located on MySpace (which was restricted viewing but which made no difference when I changed it to public) and I thought at first that they may only be visible to anyone with a Windows Live account as Patrick can see the photos in the report when logged into Live but not when logged out of Live. However that idea just went up in smoke when another Canadian (Tully) has told me that she can see the photos OK and she is not logged in to live.

At the moment I have 2 people who can see the photos and 5 who can't, plus one who can see the photos when logged into Windows Live but not when logged out of Live.

I will keep working on the problem but, as I have to go out shortly, will have to postpone the task for a while. I will try and look at the problem again tomorrow.

Dragon.......

I truly derived more than a chuckle after reading your Post of who can, and who cannot, view your interim pics weaved throughout your Tour Tale.

One might begin to believe that your (Tale) photos are contained in a proprietary satellite, and beamed to earth to certain BB members, whilst (did I say that?...must be reading too much of the BB chat..) which leave us mortals to await Phil's IT assessment. Cool

In the meantime, I will look through your albums.

Hi Puff, I just logged into my MySpace account and I can now see all the photos. And I can see them, after logging out. Oops, just saw your post.

Enjoyed your tour tale immensely. Goreme area is so unique.

Hi folks

Hopefully the problem with the photos is now fixed however I need someone to tell me if the pics are now all OK and visible.

Rather than continue messing around further with the permissions on the external site, where I originally had the photos, I have transferred them to Insight and reposted them all with the new URLs.

I have previously used this method of storing on Insight in the past with several of my trip reports but have recently been trying to avoid this method so as not clutter up the BB too much. Oddly enough I am told that several of my other trip reports (where I have links to the same external site as I had used again this time) still have all of the photos visible. I do know that there have been changes made to the Windows Live site recently so I can only assume that is what has created the problem. In any case, it was not worth while continuing to fiddle with the permissions as it is taking up too much time.

I would appreciate it if someone could advise if the photos in the report are now all OK and visible or if I have missed correcting some.

Regards to all
Geoff
