I really think the Travel Agents need to be more informed. Mine didn't even know they existed. I told her about them and when she went on ( a quiet day) she was surprised at how much info there was. She said she really enjoyed my tour tales.
What about some promotion or draw for Travel Agents- those that recommend the website win something. Has to be worthwhile. What if the travel agents had a nice flyer or brochure to hand their customers telling about the website. This is a valuable resource but very much underused. I check in occasionally but sometimes there are no hits on a thread for months. Very discouraging. Also it is very nice for those who post travel tales to receive comments-out of 5175 hits only 46 people commented + 12 for my tour tale. That is pretty sad I think. How can we encourage people to get more involved and not just be lookers? Sandy |

We did our first two back to back coach tours with G****s.
It was discovering these BBs that determined us to use Insight and Trafalgar for subsequent tours. When you travel, remember that a foreign country is not designed to make you comfortable. It is designed to make its own people comfortable. |

Sandy. Not everyone feels they need to comment on a tour tale. I have a tale from each tour I have taken, but hardly anyone comments. I don't think that is sad at all. I don't get too concerned over it, I can see a lot of people have opened them up to view, who knows if they actually read all of it, but they are there as a source of information, which is what this board is about, I don't see it as an insult if people don't comment. I have put up several photo albums with very few comments, but there are hundreds of views, so to me that makes it worth putting in the effort. I guess some people don't realise that some of us log in regularly and are still around to respond if they do happen to comment. Most viewer's are probably not member's and unable to comment. |

Hi all,
These BB's are such a great way for those with little time to research everything, and being able to look at other experiences and observations and more importantly recommendations, means that people 'touring' can get the most of the experience..... Keep promoting and posting....I love the read and now will be trying to be more of a contributor.. Regards Travel Junky |

I've been guilty of "viewing" without commenting.
Please keep posting. For those of us new to this BB the information and friends gained is invaluable. I'll try to do better to comment. Happy Travels. |

When I come on here I notice down at the bottom of the page it tells you which BB member is on plus guests. There are a lot of guests showing. They just dont want to log on.
