A few questions about this tour:
In Venice do we get to go inside the Doges Palace etc & avoid lineups or is this something we would do with our time 'at leisure'? May 1 is labor day in Italy so I assume no one works. I think we will visit Pompeii that day. Will this have any effect? Do you know who the TD is? Is the Cinque Terre offered as an optional? I don't see it on the list but thought I'd ask anyway. A month from now I'll be there and am getting soo excited. Thanks. one more...has Insight given any thought to how the Pope's health situation could effect the tour if the worst were to happen? Hello,
We don't tour inside the Doges but you are free to visit as you wish in leisure time. May the 1st is indeed a big holiday - many main sights and visits continue as normal but Pompeii will be closed (I think it is just then , New Year's Day and Christmas Day). Your tour will be scheduled around this as there is quite a degree of flexibilty (it can be visited on the way back from Sorrento to Orvieto or even during the Sorrento stay). Your TD will have all this well planned, don't worry. Cinque Terre is not offered on this tour. Viviana Vono will be your TD - she's great. All the best, Steve |
