Just wondering and this will probably be a long shot - BUT - do you have any indication at this stage who the TDs will be for -

Best of Spain and Portugal - May 14-29
Country Roads of Ireland - June 13-24

No problem not knowing before I go as it is part of the surprises of touring Smiler

I am just a curious Aussie girl by heart! Big Grin

When it gets closer to the tour you can e-mail Insight and they will e-mail you back with the name. I am going to Egypt next week and I did that.

Apologies - we've been advised they don't have May names allocated yet. Usually allocations are done about a month or so out. Names are not generally released for tyhe simple reason they can change due to sickness or whatever (hopefully not to often!) and this can require a shuffling of several tours.

Yes Liz is still with us, still in Italy and is taking out tours as usual. Italy is still very popular so she is working hard!

Liz certainly had/has a passion for Italy. Nice to hear that she is still taking tours.
What about Peter Staff? Is he still doing Insight tours? He was the TD on my first tour back in 2000.

Notice in your reply to "focus on Ireland" that you mention that Tour Directors might be known for May trips later this week or early next.

Could that then allow you to respond re Best of Spain & Portugal May 14-29 when you next get online on March 29-30?

I am leaving Aus. May 1 and would love to know before I go. I hope to get my travel documents in couple of weeks, so would I be advised in those documents who the TD might be?

Good luck getting your documents soon Long Term, we are leaving on Sat 2nd April and do not have our documents from Insight. I know that because we are leaving well before our tour departs(we are doing 2 tours prior to the Insight tour), which is May 15, that this is part of the problem, but our tour is Guaranteed dep. and we did book 12 month ago. I just hope they come before we leave, our TA assures us they will. Here's hoping!!

Hi Mandy

I hope you get your docs soon too - that is leaving it a bit fine, isn't it!! Eeker

I spoke to my TA last week when I paid my insurance and he said that I should get them about 2 weeks before I leave. I paid 12 months ago too and my tour is TG - so everything should be OK! Roll Eyes

My daughter is a HWT TA (working in London at the moment) and she says "oh Mum, stop worrying - you'll get them soon!" She says that in her 10 years of booking tours none of her clients ever missed getting their docs.

So I guess the bottom line is - don't panic just yet! I am the same as you - until I have the docs in my hands I won't rest! Roll Eyes

Best wishes for your journeys - post some tour tales when you get back
