Dear BBers,

I can now confirm that the departure date for the President's Tour will be 16th September 2010. This is the date the tour will start in Europe.

Please find following the hotels that have been allocated for this tour along with their website details.

We expect to have prices and booking information available over the next week.

Kind Regards

The hotels look really nice thanks John. I hope the superior rooms in Pecs will apply to singles as well as they look a bit sparse. Wink

Can I make one suggestion, on nights that we have dinner on our own, can you please make sure there will be resaurants with in walking distance of the hotel? On the Germany trip we had free nights in Munich and Salzburg and the hotels, although very nice, were not near anything. Thanks

John, I also asked that we be given the lesser of the preview/brochure rates for 2nd or 3rd tours booked in connection with the President's tour. Will we be given advantage of the lesser of these rates?

Happy Trails!!

Now we have everything except the cost we can now start putting our trip together.

Who do we fly with and where to? Do we fly into and out of Vienna? How do we fit a trip to Prague and Cesky Krumlov in? Do we get to Prague from Vienna by plane or train? How do we get from Prague to Bucharest-back to Vienna or straight? As the tour finishes in Budapest we would like to see some of this city. How long do we stay in Budapest after the tour? We would like to travel with the group by hydrofoil to Vienna but if we stay in Budapest we may have to delay the hydrofoil for a few days. Should we have a stop over on our way to or from Australia?

As I mentioned in an earlier post planning a trip is half the fun. We are certainly going to have some fun planning this one!!! Jim Smiler

So, a year today it will all be over!

The hotels look great, even the Patria and I am impressed by the Belvedere that offers "In case you might need quite and confident stay, we deeply recommend our spacious villa, a minute away from the Hotel which has the most amazing brethtaking (sic) view."

So now I start planning how to get Madam her Visas. That will probably require another tour!

Great, think I will start packing.

Tangata - did you notice that we will be missing the 'Thai Food festival' in the Sophia Hilton by about a week.

I didn't but that is excellent news! I'm not going to the Balkans to eat their version of Thai food! Smiler
