When I looked at the Tours on offer I really fell for the Italy one because of its easy paced nature and its length. We've had our heart set on Italy since we returned from Egypt and if Insight could come up with a regular tour with all that encompassed this one I have no doubt we'd be on our way next September but as that is unlikely we'll probably have to piece together something by ourselves.

I too would really like to meet "Those BB characters" that have offered us so much in the way of good and sound advice but the Balkins are just not our cup of tea.

I'm with you OzJohnno. I voted for the Italy tour. I've done the Italian Escapade and CR of Southern Italy and Sicily and I'd go back to Italy again if it was the Presidents Tour, as there a number of places that I haven't visited before on that itinerary.
Thankfully the majority rules in this instance, even though I'm one of the minority. Smiler

Pauline it,s the destination we would be looking at Balkans 15 days, I think 15 days might be long enough with the way we are been hit by the tax People at the moment.

Travler, I guess the current 'world financial crisis' affects people in various countries very differently.
Our Federal government is giving money away to people and calling it a "Stimulus Package".
There was money that went to some people last December and I can't recall who the recipients were but the 2nd 'stimulus package' is going to all the people who had filed a tax return for our last financial year.
I received an email from my bank, this past Monday, telling me that AUD900.00 had been deposited into my bank account.
Money that I can put towards my next overseas holiday. Smiler

For us it is definitely the destination Pauline as we have no interest in returning to Italy or France again.

We would never select a tour based primarily on duration and in fact the reason that I had originally suggested the Balkans being a few days longer was not just to add length but to also try and add additional experiences and variety to the tour such as the Plitvice Lakes etc.

Puff, I have seen photos of the Plitvice Lake area and it does look very unique.

For us it is destination as well, but as we are travelling a long way plus we shall need an extra connecting flight to start and finish the BB Tour a few extra days would be nice as we have no intention doing another tour afterwards.

I think it is easier for me to book my own tour for 2010 based on what I really want, as it seems too hard for everyone to agree for the President's tour.

Italy is always going to be my choice because I have such a fondness for it, and can never get enough. I think there are others who feel the same.

Out of respect there are others who like the idea of the Balkans tour, for the same reasons I love Italy and I would not expect them to change their thinking as I could not change mine.

Personally, I would love to go on a tour where I could meet fellow B&B ers, there are so many I feel I know well and some who I would love to meet Wink. Maybe another time, another tour!!

Like you we prefer Italy over the Balkans area.

I too would prefer Italy over the Balkans however the majority vote was for the Balkans and I would also never expect anyone to change their preference. It would have been nice to meet fellow BBers. I can only hope that Insight offer Phil's wonderful Italian tour in the future.
