We will be in Jordan and Egypt in November and are concerned about the effects of sand/grit on the reliability of our camera.
Has anyone experienced this problem? Shoud we consider purchasing a waterproof camera for safety sake? Thanks Betty |

I took a Sony movie camera to both Jordan and Egypt and had no problems.
I didn't take any special precautions. When you travel, remember that a foreign country is not designed to make you comfortable. It is designed to make its own people comfortable. |

We had a video camera and 2 still cameras and experienced no problems.
Like Tangata, we took no special precautions either. |
