We have received our docs for our two upcoming France tours - 6 weeks ahead!! So these are two TGs that were not cancelled. Actually, it looks as if none of the CR of France or Normandy, Brittany, et al TGs has been cancelled.

ZGordon, our Country roads of France was a full bus, I think we were 40 or 39. The trips of France seem very popular.
I hope you enjoy both tours. We are interested in the Normandy trip and would be interested in hearing what you thought of it.
Unfortunately most of our bus became quite sick which put a damper on the trip. Virginie does both trips, so I hope you get her on one.

Marie,do you know why you all got sick? I would hate for that to happen. I plan to do tour tales of both trips - I have read yours with interest, thank you.

John, thank you for your good wishes. Maybe sometime we can meet on a tour, since we live not so far apart!

I think someone or a group of people were already sick as the tour started and then we all got sick even the TD. It was both a head cold and some stomach thing, it started for me in Avignon, my husband 2 days later. I was much better at the end of the trip.
Our tour had mainly Aussies, many had already travelled for a long while, but some had also arrived straight from Australia and might have picked something up from the long flight.

The main problem with being sick was that I had no energy and lost enthusiasm for the places. I usually like to explore but really only had energy to sit a lot of the time.

I hope this does not happen to you. I have never been sick on previous tours, except for a slight stomach problem for 2 days in Turkey. I suspect it might have been the water either served at the Sheraton in Ankara or maybe the tea or coffee if the water is not fully boiled.

As I recall Z we were scheduled for the same tour a year or two ago, but a week or two apart. Mind you, my mind seems to be somewhere off on its on these days. I think it was CR of Switzerland. I am now signed up for the April 23, 2009 Romantic European.

Happy Trails!!

We are signed up for a June 2009 Grand Scandinavian Tour. Maybe another year.
[I think it was CR of Dalmatian Coast.]

ZGordon-

I hope you enjoy both tour - CR of France as much as we did. We had Martin Graham as a tour director. I could be wrong but I think he had a hand in the design of this tour and he showed us all a wonderful time. I think we met Virginie briefly, either at the beginning or end of the tour (I forget) when two tours crossed paths at the hotel in Paris. Seems like either way you can't go wrong.
