When can I expect my paperwork from INSIGHT?
We are heading off ON January 1st and start a Jordan Experience on January 2nd and a Jewels of the Nile on January 7th- I know it will be sometime yet before the paperwork arrives but was wondering how long before it usually arrives?? E |

The tour paperwork normally arrives between 1.5 and 3 weeks before your departure. Given the time of year that you will be travelling with several public holidays, it might be a few days earlier. However, don't expect anything really new in the paperwork. There will be vouchers for transfers, accommodation vouchers and tour vouchers. There will also be tour itineraries and lists of typical optionals (both of which are on Insight's website). There may also be a small booklet giving general travel advice for each of the regions in which Insight operates.

Thanks for your response- Naples Joan are you speaking from experience (about taking everything with you in case)? This is our first 'tour package' all our other travel has been independent. Would apppreciate any prior knowledge you may have gained from experience!

Some advice I'll offer. Take with you photocopies of the information page of your passport and spare passport photos.You carry copies and your partner carries copies. If one of you loses a bag the other still has copies. Have a list of the addresses and phone numbers of the Australian Consulates in the countries you are visiting. I obtained these from www.smartraveller.gov.au. Our friends had their passports stolen the day we were leaving Paris for home - we were able to phone the consulate to find out what to do, we had their address so found our way there and they had their replacement passports within 3 hours. We did take most of the Insight documentation. When you receive it you'll know what you want to take and what you don't need to take. Happy travelling. |
