Just returned from Italian Escapade with Ernesta. There can't be a better TD. She made the trip.

I did a tour with Ernesta in 2000, she was great. Went above and beyond the call of duty. We all loved her. Smiler

Hi, this was 8 years ago but we had the King of tour guides, Mohammed Raghab, on the Splendours of Egypt tour. I am going back in two months and I know if I DON'T get him again all I will be doing for two weeks is looking for him!

I think he is still doing tours and I hope I spelled his last name correctly, has anyone had him recently, tall thin, black hair and glasses, a perfect guide? Thanks, and Happy Travels to all.

Hi Lauretta

I think his name was spelt Ragheb and we had him for our Egypt tour in 2005 so he was deinitely still around 3 years ago.

He certainly is a great tour guide and I loved the way he took four volunteers from our group and cast them in the roles of Osirus, Isys, Niferteri and Seth. Then for about 15 minutes wove a fascinating story of the mythology of these four gods in such an entertaining way with our volunteers that everybody was totally absorbed and involved in the tale.

We were also fortunate in having Mohammed as a personal tour guide for just my wife and my self (the day before our tour started) for a visit to Coptic Cairo and the Pharaonic Village.

My husband and I were on the "Highlights of Eastern Europe" tour, departing June 7, 2008, with BEATA WIELOPOLSKI as Tour Director. Beata was everything we could possibly have hoped for in a Tour Director and more. She is a 20th Century historian with a special passion for this particular tour, and she made the history of each place we visited come alive for us in a very special way. A beautiful person inside and out, she was also extremely organized and efficient, and wanted us to see and learn and experience as much as possible everywhere we went. She also had a knack for "reading" people and knowing what each one of us needed from her. I cannot say enough about her, and although I am sure we will get other good tour directors on future Insight tours, I simply cannot imagine anyone ever being as wonderful as I feel Beata is. Any of you who have her as a director in the future will be fortunate indeed.

Our most recent tour director, Tina Stromberg was outstanding on the Scandinavia and its fjords tour.

Our tour manager for Italian Escape in September 2008 was Brad McEwen. My husband and I had the time of our lives. He was the best, he could not have made the trip more enjoyable for us. We were extremely pleased!
