Lady Jane
Just noticed that you live at Peakhurst. I'm not far from you at Bexley North.

WEEEEELLLLL Lady Jane...I have to be kind of careful how I put this. Lets just say certain items went missing off the bus and some people felt they knew who was responsible. This created a very bad vibe on the bus which Paul managed to overcome for everyones benefit. I guess I'll leave it at that. The point I was making was how well Paul dealt with what was going on.

Best Tour Guide is Robert Joyce!!!! I went on the Country Roads of Scotland in September 9-17th and had a Blast and a half. I was a single on the trip and he made me feel welcome on the tour and made sure I was doing ok. He also got me hooked drinking Irn-Bru. He has a passion for Scotland and showing it off

I've been on 13 bus tours with 3 different companies. 3 of them were Insight and the best TDs & Drivers I've had, were Sue TD from UK and Michael from Germany on the CR of Switzerland May 2003.
Lene from Dennmark TD and Wilfred from Germany, Grand Tour of Scandinavia May 2007.
I've had 3 outstanding drivers in my years of travel and Michael & Wilfred are 2 of them the way they handled those coaches on some of those roads and in cities and tiny towns, I'm just glad I was a passager. Both were alot of fun once they got to know you.
Sue & Lene always happy, and ready to help if needed. Both did little things that you didn't expect which made the tour that little bit more fun or special.
Hope I'm luky enough to have them again.

I would like to add Sara Tattersall TD C R of Austria, Bavaria & Switzerland May 2008.

I just read the posting praising Kathy Cecchini a tour guide in Italy. Kathy was our guide in May, 07 for the Escapade Tour of Italy. She was outstanding, her factual knowledge of Italian history, art, local lore was awesome. Her jokes were great and her friendliness and willingness to help in all circumstances was fully appreciated. The tour was wonderful.

The best Insight TD I've ever had was Faris Al-Ramady in Egypt. He was patient, caring, attentive, kind, and very efficient. This tour was several years ago, and I don't know if he's still doing the tours.

In regards to drivers, the best one I've ever experienced was Achmed on my tour of Morocco last year. He had to drive us through some very tricky situations, such as: a washed out road in the desert (actually, the road had been turned into mush...there was no road left!), a small town up in the mountains that was filled with construction areas, and the insane streets of Casablanca. He was so skilled and calm. We were amazed. Cheers to him!
