My hubby and I are going on the Wonders of Egypt tour in mid-October 2008. We can't find out if there is a dress up (jackets for men) night on the cruise ship, or is business/smart casual OK. We'd hate to find ourselves not prepared, but having to pack a suit creates a whole sub-wardrobe.

Patti106...No dress up and no jacket needed on the Nile ship. No business/smart casual, so leave it all at home.

im glad you asked this question because I have had the same worries. I bought another shirt today, nothing flash but something that is not a tshirt anyway that I could wear to dinner on the nile. The last thing I really want to do on a holiday is dress up.

I went on the Nile 3 years ago, there was no dress regulations/specials days whem you needed to dess in a jacket etc. It was laid back.

Most people wore smart casual for the nights.

If you're reading the replies, you must be really happy, as am I. We're going mid October, how about you?

Thanks for your help, it seems it's unanimous, the pressure is off, we can stop shopping and feel good about the trip. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the whole experience. Would you return to Egypt?
