Gotta say that I love my blow up hangers. I haven't tried the balloons and they sound like a great solution BUT as I already have 3 blow up hangers, I'll continue to take them with me when I travel. Smiler

I use them at home too!!!

They are one of the best travel items I think. The best thing is they take up no room at all. Just as much as a pack of balloons and you have them forever.

I should have been clearer. I have some plastic cloths pins that have a hook attached to go over the shower rod. I don't use hangers. They work fine for me everyone has their own system and I am just offering some advice someone else may like to try.

Everyone has something that works best for them. I have tried everything and my favorite is the blow up coat hangers. They are marvelous. We camp a lot as well and I use them all the time. Balloons are ok but not quite as good I find, the coat hangers are well worth the extra money.

Oh Gennevive what a great idea. I never used them to cushion fragile purchases. Wish I had. I was so worried about my Glass horse I brought in Murano breaking while traveling home. I carried it with me.

You will be pleased that you did carry it with you. A friend of mine also bought a horse, but not from the Murano Glass factory, the one just off St Mark's square. The one they were actually buying fell over and shattered in the shop before they had completed the purchase, so they had to choose another one.

I bought vases, but I had quite a lot more travelling to do so I had them shipped home to Australia. No problem, they arrived at my home intact two weeks after I arrived home.

I will say again, I love my blow up coat hangers, I would never leave home without them or my own pillow. It doesn't weigh much either, he just fits neatly on the top of my suitcase before I zip her up!!

What a great idea...your own pillow.

I've used my hangers for travel, and at home on the patio. They're wonderful.

Yes, best thing I ever thought of doing. Hotel pillows come in all shapes, sizes and textures, so having your own guarantees a comfortable nights sleep. It does mean sacrificing space in the suitcase, but at least it doesn't weigh much, and if it came to the crunch, I could leave it behind after my last night.
