Quite a few people on the BB were raving about inflatable hangars and they seemed to be a great idea for drying things quicker when you are laundering on the go but I couldn't find any unless I shopped online. Stores in other parts of the country and the world stocked them but not here in Red Deer. Roll Eyes The Canadian Closet Company ordered them in for me a few weeks ago and they arrived last week. 2 in a package for $5 if anyone is wondering how to get their hands on them (in my neck of the woods.) Made in China but they ordered them from the United States.

I just returned from 5 weeks in Italy, France and England. I took three of these inflatable hangers with me. They really are a godsend!!!

My clothes dried overnight just hanging in the shower, even the heavier things dried easily. I had a few fragile things to bring home too, so blew the hangers up to cushion the fragile items. Another good use!! Worth their weight in gold I say.

Again I say just try putting different sizes balloons inside of your shirts and men's unterware. They will dry overnight. They are so cheap, and don't take any room in suitcase. Try at home and see if they are for you. The skinny long shape work great in sleeves and larger round ones in the body of your shirts.

The inflatable hangars from Canadian Closet Company were cheap. Two for $5.00 so not expensive at all.

I tried the balloons too on previous tours, but found that occasionnaly they would pop with the weight of the clothing and you still needed a coat hanger, which in most hotels, they are the type that slot in the wardrobe so you can't use them in the bathroom. Having tried both, if you can get hold of the blow up hangers they are definately so much better. And of course, as I have recently found, you can use them to cushion your fragile purchases when stored in your suitcase. They don't weigh much at all.

You must have blown them up to much as I have used them on all our trips for 8 years and never had one pop.

I'm with you Dragon - I much prefer the inflatable hangers. For the life of me I can't work out how you'd hang the balloons over the shower head or on the shower curtain rail - not without a lot of fiddling that is.

I also get very dizzy when I blow up balloons. But as Garth says - "Horses for courses."

Hiya Tuffet

Our BB tour of Germany seems so far behind us now doesn't it? But it was certainly good while it lasted. Big Grin

Say hi to Garth for me.

What I really was trying to get across, was that you still need a coat hanger, when using the balloons and that the coat hangers in most hotels are not able to be hung up outside the wardrobe, as they are the type that slot in. You can of course pack your own coat hangers to use. I have, as I said tried both, and now that I have my inflatable hangers, I would not be without them when travelling in the future.

South I offer advice just as you do, people make up their own minds on what advice they take.
