Natalie,
I just realized what the date is today and how soon you'll be leaving. Hope the packing is going well and you've remembered all the things everyone has suggested. Now try to get a few good night's sleep so you'll be ready to tackle Bella Italia. Lots of us will be traveling with you "in spirit" Smiler
Enjoy it all and have some gelato for me Cool
Ciao
Sue

Let me know how your Eqypt tour goes. Yes we have decided on Egypt because of what I have read on this board - it sounds very exciting. Taking our son along with us. He adores history esp. on eqypt.

I want to go back to Italy, then travel to France, well all Europe, Eqypt, Middle east, India and the UK. Its going to take me years.

Natalie you are as bad as me. I also surf the internet for new things to read about every place I want to see. I usually save it onto my memory stick and read and reread it in my own time.

Tell your hubby not to be nervous- just enjoy what you have planned. Italy is a beautiful country. Yep I was thinking on a christmas tour one year and take two of my kids - far less expensive

Big Grin LOL
I thought I was the only one obsessing with the board, tales, pics etc!
I was telling people on tour we were just on (Britian and Ireland Explorer) how I've already starting planning next year's trip.
It is a wonderful addiction, and I'm glad I can fulfill it every couple of years.
I'm always browsing the various tours, figuring out what to see and when to go, imagining what it would be like to travel all the time and do back to back tours, alas, I can only take 2 weeks at a time and only have 3 weeks vacation for the year.........if only we followed the European and Australian model for vacation time. Wink

Rita, do you only have 3 weeks annual leave a year. Because I work weekends I get 5 weeks annual leave a year. Great for travelling.

As a nurse, on a rotating roster you get 6 weeks holiday a year, but boy do you need them all !!

There are so many places I want to visit, and after doing Insights Country Roads of Austria and Bavaria I would go back to these places in an instant too Smiler

Yes it is addicting, and I don't want to be curedSmiler.

We did Italian Escapade in 2006, we are leaving Sept 12 for BOI this year, and we are already planning for another Italy trip in 2012. I now have my husband "hooked" to.

I may not be Italian by birth but definatly in my heart.

Only 9 more wakeup's...YAHOOOOOO

The only thing that helps my addiction is a lack of holiday money. The savings plan indicate we'll be off to Italy either late next year or early 2011. Until then I'll continue the therapy or wait for a Lotto win.

I check this BB every day looking for updates, and often click onto my booked tour just to look at it and dream. I don't dare mention our upcoming trip to anyone anymore or their eyes glaze over. My son and I are already discussing what tour we'd like to book after this one. Yep, I'm addicted Razzer
So...we leave for Egypt six months exactly from this coming Sunday...is it too soon to start counting sleeps? Wink

I too am an addict. We went on a tour thru Trafalgar European Express a few years ago and then added on an island hopper tour in Greece. I went with my Mother and Daughter because my hubby isn't much of a traveler.
I must admit that trip only made the addiction far worse. I used to stay mainly in North America and have tried hard to do the same.
Even that gets out of control. In the last few years I have taken several trips and the hubby comes sometimes.
We are going to Egypt in November on the Splendours of Egypt tour and I must admit I am on the internet constantly. Even at work !! I love this board and the knowledge that everyone shares.
