Wondering whether to pack a sportcoat for dinners out on our Easy Pace Tour in October??
Will collared shirts and sweaters or jacket suffice?

We did Best of Italy in Aug. 2005 and both dressed casually for eveything as did the majority of the people. I never packed a sportcoat or dress shoes. Some people did dress up for some of the functions but the majority didn't. I think it was whatever you are comfortable with.

The main reason I didn't pack a sportcoat or dress shoes was the space limitation with one suitcase each.

Unless you plan on doing something on your own, don't bother with a sportcoat.
