Having undertaken 3 Insight Tours to date, I am very impressed with the company, and would use them at all times if possible. We are however considering a tour to China and unfortunately Insight does not operate in this area. Could anybody advise me of a touring company in Asia that is of a similar standard to Insight?

We went with Pacific Delight as Insight didn't go there. They were very good also. I agree with you Insight is very good and would always travel with them if they go where we want to go. China is a very interesting place to go. Would love to go back.

We used Ritz Tours in 2005 and were very pleased with them.

Koot, I travelled to China in 2003 with Wendy Wu tours. Had a fabulous time and was very happy with the tour and the arrangements. Another company I looked at was Helen Wong. Have only read good things about both companies.

Thanks for the advice, I will look into the companies mentioned.
Although I sometimes like doing my own thing, I enjoy the fact that the touring company takes care of all the arrangements and I can just relax and go with the things as planned. Especially if you are used to organising everything at home or at work, this is really relaxing. I also enjoy socialising with the rest of the group and getting to know people from other parts of the world. The touring company and the people they attract for tours are thus important to me, which is why I am looking for a company similar to Insight. |

You should go to Insight's sister company's web site, Tragalgar as they have 17 different tours of China

No we haven't. Was planning to do one this year with our friends from Melbourne that we have traveled Egypt and Turkey with but we couldn't make it. They did go but not with Trafalgar and they just returned saying they had used an independant travel agency and it was no where near Insight/Trafalgar standards. Check the TT BB and in their "Exotic Destinations" Forum are BBers comments that have done China tours with TT.

Hi Koot
I have friends who went with Trafalgar to China, and they thoroughly enjoyed the tour. They have travelled with Insight before too, and where upset that they didn't have a tour to China. |
