I think that this is a new Tour, I don't recall seeing any Tour Tales.

In 2006 we did a tour of Jordan followed by a tour of Egypt.


When you travel, remember that a foreign country is not designed to make you comfortable. It is designed to make its own people comfortable.

Miko we are doing Egypt and Jordan Tour in Nov 09. would love to hear about your trip.
Also would like to know if anyone has used GAT tours as we are considering doing a day tour in Jordan with them.

hi guys, we are also wanting to do the Egypt and Jordan tour at the end of Oct 2009. Mainly worried about the flight, how safe is within Egypt and going to Jordan. Would that be flying with Egyptair?

We are four from Virginia who are going on this trip departing November 18. As you can see, this combined tour is new this year, so there has been no one as yet that I can find who has actually experienced it. But Insight has a good record with each of the component parts, so I expect we will all have a great tour. I believe we can expect both countries to be very safe,based both from their historic record in the past 10 years and from the increased importance that each country is placing on tourism as vital to their national economies and foreign diplomacies.I do not know about the domestic flights or airlines, but their published records are good. I will look forward to any additional input from those who have actually experienced some component of our tour.

I flew Egypt Air from Cairo to Aswan, Luxor to Aswan and Aswan to Cairo (and Cairo to London) and the flights were comfortable and the crew friendly and helpful. This was six years ago.

I have recently returned from doing 5 weeks of travelling overseas with Sight In and my last tour was to Jordan which was the last part of the Egypt / Jordan tour. I can highly recommend the tour, the accommodation was first class as was the food, the tour guide Khaled was fantastic as was the bus driver. There were 37 people on this tour and 20 had come from the Egypt tour which they said was excellent. Day 2 is a long day and be prepared for Petra, it is a long day - I think we walked about 12 klms but well worth it. Egyptair are fine to fly with, have no complaints, have flown with them often. Go and enjoy.
