I guess our flight leaves around 10pm also. I get confused on the times. I know what you mean about packing. I think it's harder for women. I have mostly capris and one sweater. Hope that's enough. Tennis shoes for comfort and sandals. I figure we will check the weather before we leave and make changes if necessary.
See you soon!!

We are also still trying to figure out what to bring .I am not planning on dressing fancy I tend to be comfortable especially being on the bus for that length of time plus walking .
But I wanted you to know that when at the airport to hopefully find you at the gate Dick will have on a red Texas Tech hat . ( A real sports nut . ) See you soon !!!!!!

Packing is really a fine art in working out what to wear and what will work best for you.

Everyone has different ideas on what they want to take. I always take one floaty black skirt and a pair of good black pants with a couple of nice tops, that does the night time stuff.

I only take one pair of court shoes, and one pair of shoes to wear during the day. Usually a pair of Mary Janes because I can also wear these at night time too if need be. They are also great to wear if you want to wear a skirt or dress, as trainers look a bit out of place with these items of clothing. You can wear Mary Janes with just about anything and if you get a good pair they are great shoes for walking in. Mine are Homeypeds.

For the daytime capris are fantastic, just take a few lightweight tops that you can wash out. I found one warm cardigan was plenty, but make sure you take a lightweight raincoat. If it does get cool, you can use pashmina's, they are really useful to have.

Excellent Donna! We will be sure to look for the red Texas Tech hat.
I tend to like to be comfortable too. I am taking one plain black skirt and one colorful pantsuit, but the rest of my stuff is pretty basic. I really don't care if my tennis shoes don't go with my capris, I just want to be comfortable-ha-ha!!
Can't wait to see you!!

Hi there,
so happy that others are doing the Road to Rome, I couldn't find anyone doing the tour on this BB. Exciting isn't it? We are leaving Aug.29 from Canada, so we'll be right behind you! This is our first trip and I'm also struggling a little with packing, but that's part of the fun isn't it? Hope you have a fantastic trip, and hope the weather suits your outfits!

Hope your trip is everything you've dreamed of and more!
Hope the moskitoes and bears weren't too bad in Kenora and Minakie - that's experiencing Canada's north at it's best (other than the moskitoes and bears that is). Have a great trip.

We are going on the Road to Rome tour on Sept. 26th. We live here in Louisiana. Please email me when you get back and let me know all about it and any recommendations you might have. Maybe things you really liked and things you didn't. Let me also know how your packing for the trip went. I am worried about this. Thanks.

When you travel, remember that a foreign country is not designed to make you comfortable. It is designed to make its own people comfortable.
