Hi Donna,
This is our first tour also! Maybe Dick will be able to give us some ideas as to what to pack? We are trying the "put everything out you want to take and then only take half", but don't know if that is feasable. Let me know what you think. We're getting pretty excited! Thanks for your reply! Dick said to bring a few warm clothes especially a sweater and rain jacket . One suitcase each is just not enough for all we need . I am excited also !!!Looking forward to meeting you both . Donna and Dick |

We were not even thinking about warm clothes! I have mostly capris, but a sweater & a rain jacket sounds like a great idea. Do you recommend a money belt? We were just going to wear the fanny packs, but some people say they are easy for pick-pockets. We visit our daughter in NYC and have never been bothered, so I didn't know if a money belt was necessary. Any thoughts? Can't wait to meet you too! Vicki & Don |

I would certainly wear a money belt; in fact one each as you can share your money, cards and documents. I use a Samsonite round the waist thing which is comfortable if a bit warm at times. Others I know use neck pouches and some have jackets/vests.

I ask Dick he said no to fanny pack he just usues his neck pouch to keep passport and things in . ALSO AAA book said not to either because of pick-pockets . Are you flying to London on Sat. the 22 nd ? WE are flying out of Chicago and will arrive the morning of the 23rd . Dick and Donna |

Hi to Vicki and Don and Dick and Donna, enjoying reading your preparations for your tour, we are booked on a winter tour to Europe in December and are getting excited already. We live in Australia so it is a big trip over. Have a great trip, look forward to seeing the posts. Cheers from Oz

Thanks to all who replied!! We will definitely get the money belts or around the neck pouch. We picked up our packet yesterday at AAA. Yes we are flying out the 22nd and flying out of Cleveland to Chicago. Our flight from Chicago leaves in the evening, I think around 7 something. I assume we will be on the same flight. Yay! I think we are going to do some packing to see if everything fits-ha-ha. We welcome any other input.

We leave later than 7 . Its like 10 P.m. Hope your packing is going better than ours . I keep changing my mind . Hard to pack both lightweight and heavy weight clothes . Too many of one not enough of the other . Guess it will work out . Well see you soon !!!!!!! DICK AND DONNA |
