Has anyone booked an Alaska cruise for 2006. We went on a 14 day cruisetour in 2004 and would highly recommend that. You get a taste of interior Alaska and get to visit Denali Park.

Cheers

Gee Missie, you make me envious. Roll Eyes

I have done the Inside Passage twice and loved it. Big Grin On both occasions we travelled in the opposite direction to you after our tours of Alaska.

Will you be doing any land content from Anchorage?

Hi Silvertop and welcome to the board.

As I said for Missie, you will have a fabulous time. The Rockies are magnificent as is the Inside Passage.

Just a reminder that this is prime time for booking travel to Alaska. If you wait too long, the only cruises available will be in May and September.

Cheers

Max...

Ok, it is a good time to book a tour to Alaska.
When are good times to visit Alaska? We really do not want to be there in a snow storm or in freezing weather. Winter may not be a good time to visit Alaska, right?

Cats,

Our first trip to Alaska was in Jun/July 1998 and our second was in August of 2002.

We found the weather great during this period and in 1998 we also went up to Kotzebu and Nome.

Cats, an excellent time to go to Alaska is the end of June or beginning of July, close to the summer solstice, if possible. That way you get very long days and light.
