Hi Tassie Devil,

We did not do this particular tour, but can assure you, you are in for a treat. We loved them all. The atmosphere is just too good and I often felt like staying over for longer. Perhaps one day I will be able to do an independent trek over that way and do my own thing. In particular, loved Zion National Park. It is awesome! Enjoy, enjoy! Smiler

Thanks Ralph - the pictures in the brochure look great. Noticed in another section your comments on the UK. I'm still deciding on the USA/Canada National Parks or the Britain and Ireland Explorer - value for money the UK is winning, especially as the cost include meals which the USA doesn't. Would be interested in your views. I did the European Explorer last year with Insight and was extremely impressed.

Hi again Tassie Devil,

You cannot really compare the two. I would do both at a drop of a hat. There is nothing to beat England in the summer but try the US and Canada National Parks in spring.
There is nothing like a good cooked English breakfast. We used to have a cup of soup and some fruit for lunch and then either enjoyed a meal at the hotel or the one with the optional extra. In the USA, you to fend for yourself. We also enjoyed an excellent cooked breakfast but then after that it was mostly stops at hamburger stands. However,
the scenery and the excitement made up for a lot. Smiler

Thanks again Ralph. If I win lotto I'll definitely do both - otherwise will slave away and try and do one next year and the other the following - just need to decide which one first.

Tassie,

don't know about the tours but popular thing with the tourist over here is the "Fall colours" (Mid/Late October - Early/Mid November). Doesn't sound much but really is, it still amazes me and I have been here 12 years. Just a thought,

regards,

Thanks for tip Dylan - must admit the photos I've seen taken during Autumn (Fall) do look spectacular.

Tassie Devil, I did a really comprehensive trip of the National Parks of the USA and Canada in 1998(not with Insight or Trafalgar). I've travelled with both Insight and Trafalgar since then and I've had a great time on all tours. But the tour I did in '98 was more than fabulous and it's one that you should know about. I know that if I go into any details on another travel company's website I will definitely be "censored", so email me at lindat@patash.com.au and I will give you the details.
