"bikkies" <=> biscuits

[See Australian Slang Dictionery.]

In this context, "small bikkies" means "of small relevance".

Thanks Phil.

"Cat's" - Bikkies/biscuits are like your cookies I think ? You have them with a cup of tea or coffee. They tend to be processed.

Our big biscuits are called "cookies" or "Anzacs". They tend to be more "home made". Mind you, you can have them with tea and coffee too.

I prefer cinnamon rolls with my coffee. But only on weekends.

I am glad you appreciated it, Cat's Inheritance. If I don't have cinnamon rolls with my coffee, I do enjoy bacon and eggs.

I've never taken an escorted tour before, but I have been to Los Angeles three times. You need more than two days there just to see everything there. You need at least 10 days to two weeks or even more.

When I first went there in '78 for my 21st birthday, I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Santa Monica, and I just love Santa Monica. The Pier, Palisades Park, and the beach are all right across the street. In 1981, I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Hollywood, which is now the Hollywood Renaissance Hotel. Great hotel, but Hollywood is just way too rundown and decrepit. In '83, I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Glendale.

I also went to see The Price is Right, The Tonight Show, Press Your Luck, and WKRP in Cincinnati, and yes, you do have to wait in line for several hours before you can get in. The Press Your Luck taping lasted for four hours because they had techinical problems during the taping. I also took a tour of the stars' homes in Beverly Hills, went to Universal Studios, took a day trip to Palm Springs, went down to the beach in Santa Monica, walked the streets of Beverly Hills, and listening to 60's music that I taped off of the radio stations in Philadelphia.

There are also bus routes that'll take you into West Los Angeles, UCLA, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, downtown Los Angeles, Venice, Burbank, Glendale, North Hollywood, Sherman Oaks, Van Nuys, Westwood, and so forth. You don't necessarily need a car to get around Los Angeles.

The next time that I go there, I plan to visit the graves of Eva Gabor, Eddie Albert, and Merv Griffin and Westwood Memorial Cemetery. Since I was such a big Green Acres fan, I just want to pay my respects to these fabulous people. And just like before, I am planning to go there on my own; no escorted tours.
