Jack, I no longer watch CNN due their biased broadcast coverage. I do nejoy the Fox News Channel for their fair and balanced reporting.

The bias of American broadcasting networks is a matter of personal opinion and not certainty. One man's meat ...

John, you must watch the Fox News Channel there in Australia. I wasn't aware that the channel was offered in Australia.

For balanced news in the United States try National Public Radio and / or PBS..... Fox is tabloid news.

michael; I agree with you about PBS. We get most of the U.S. stations here in Canada and I've always found PBS to be fairly balanced. The BBC in Britain is pretty even handed in its news. Our CBC(Can. Broadcasting Corp.) is also fairly balanced in its presentation of the news and current events. During the war and aftermath of the war in Iraq, it gave full exposure to the Bush administration's and the Pentagon's views but also presented the terrible cost, death and hardship of this war on the Iraqi civilian population.
Yes, it may be difficult to present a balanced view but it can be done.

I have watched the PBS newscasts and I find them totally b-o-r-i-n-g. The Fox News Channel can at least hold your attention.

Hey Maxie - I like Sky News, and the BBC. My favourite magazine is actually "Big League" - but you need to be in Oz to get that - I think !

You realise that Australia is only "small bikkies" when you travel overseas. And thats the best thing about it. I love coming home.
