Does anyone know what the size of the carry on bag is that the Insight tours send to you?
Can you carry your own bag?
We were told we could have only one suitcase to go under the bus (luggage area) and we had to use the carry on bag they send you.
Thank you,

The Insight bag is approx. 41 x 28 x 15cm (or 16.5 x 11 x 6 inches). You don't have to use the Insight bags. We have always taken small backpacks rather than the Insight bags.

The Insight Baggage Allowance & Porterage are as follows:

  • Premium First Class tours: Porterage for one suitcase on tour is included in the tour price and at arrival or departure from each tour hotel. Due to limited coach capacity this single bag should have a weight not exceeding 30kg (66lbs) and dimensions not exceeding 77.5cm (30.5in) x 56cm (22in) x 32cm (12.5in). Charges will be levied in the event these limits are exceeded and our promise to transport you as indicated may be invalidated.
  • SuperSaver tours: Porterage for one suitcase on tour is included in the tour price and at arrival or departure from each tour hotel. Due to limited coach capacity this single bag should have a weight not exceeding 27kg (60lbs) and dimensions not exceeding 76cm (30in) x 46cm (18in) x 25cm (10in). Charges will be levied in the event these limits are exceeded and our promise to transport you as indicated may be invalidated.

I took both. I put my emptied large carryon bag that I used on the flight over, inside my big suitcase while on the tour.

I received my first Insight bag in 2000 and it has been on every trip that I have done since then. For me, it's ideal as a carry on. The other 3 bags that I have received since then, are still waiting to be used. Smiler
