This tour sounds great to me and we are definitely interested in a Sept 2008 time slot also. Let us know more about cost - which is getting scary with the euro increasing in value. We did the European Explorer last May/June and would like a more regional tour with less travel time. I would also opt for more smaller historical hotels. Will we hear from Insight via email in Canada - I did sign us up.

Any idea what the optionals will be? I saw something on a travel show about a luge ride that is open only in summer. I think it was Austria or Bavaria. It looked like alot of fun. I would like to try it, either as an optional or with free time on our own. Linda

Dear All,
Thanks again for the huge interest in this tour! We are very excited too and will move ahead to set it up as a definite departure. The concensus on date is dificult to read but I'm thinking that June 2008 ish is about right to ensure that everyone is available who wants to go? I'm going to ask John Moderator to set up another poll to check this however.
We'll narrow poll for November 2007, June 2008 and October 2008. Please make sure you vote!

I just had a look at the first poll results and

9% voted for September 07
8% Winter 07/08
26% for Spring 2008
15% for Summer 2008
42% voted for September 2008.

I think John Boulding is looking at a new poll to narrow it down more. I would be seriously interested in October 2008 but nothing else.

Seems to me that it is overwhelmingly in favour of September 2008 then Pauline with 42% in favour and the closest rival being only 26%.

I am surprised that John Boulding said it was "difficult to read" and "I'm thinking that June 2008 ish is about right" Confused

September would certainly be the most suitable for me.

We'll have to wait and see, but I do believe that hotel rates drop in Europe after September 30. This could be a factor in choosing October 2008.

AND I'm not sure about air fares in the Southern Hemisphere, but I do believe there is a change too after September 30 for us in the north.
