I sent an email to Insight late Thursday night (my time), asking if they knew who our TD is and today I received the following reply:
We have contacted our London office for you. The Tour Director for the Romantic Roads of Germany & the Alps is Mr Claus Sickingen I wonder if anyone on the board has toured with Claus before? This message has been edited. Last edited by: Pauline, |

Yes we have toured with Claus before we did Highlights of Eastern Europe with him in 2001.
His full name is Claus von Sickingen-Hohenburg, born in Austria but lives in the US. He is in his late 50's/early 60's, very experienced as a tour director. I could tell you more about him but I shall leave that up to him when he meets you all. Personally we thought he was very good. All this is getting exciting now  Tupps |

I am not lucky enough to be able to join you on your tour but have been reading the posts with interest. You all are sounding so excited and I can't blame you. I wish for you a wonderful tour and great fellowship with friends from the bulletin board. My thoughts and prayers are with you for a safe journey (which is not to be taken for granted in this day and age).

Thank you for your thoughts & prayers. I'm not a particulary religious person and I do appreciate all comments, be they possitive or negative. As for a safe journey, for me, the odds are the same as they have always been. |

Myra - thank you so much for your good wishes and prayers for a safe trip for all of us on the BB tour. Sorry you couldn't make it - I'm sure there will be many reports on this trip so just look for them sometime in September.

Our TA rang early this morning and told us that all of our tour documents have arrived so I have told her to hang onto them until after the weekend. I will probably get them on Tuesday of next week.
Only 17 days to when we leave for Sydney and 18 days to when we fly out for Germany. |

Well it will be interesting to see when I hear from my travel agent, if I don't hear anything by Tuesday I shall contact her.
