I'm bumping myself off to make sure that you all see the new entry by John about pre-night reservations. It's at the very top of the BB tour section.

However, you will see several responses (from me, from Katinwa) that we sent John information but got an automated response that his e-mail is no longer in use.

Comments are also above in "Announcements."

I'm waiting for help. Surely someone will figure this out.

I too sent an email and it came back to me. So what I am going to do is go through my travel agent. When I first booked I had already requested a room for the 20th August. To be on the safe side I shall make sure our name is down.

Tups, we also requested a pre night accommodation, when we first booked the BB tour, and were told it was on request.

In the past couple of weeks our TA has been unable to get a reply from contact attempts with Insight and has now been advised that Megan has left and not yet been replaced. I am told that for the time being all bookings will have to go through sales so perhaps it would be a good idea to get your TA to send an email off re your bookings.

I also note that John does seem to infer that we should all contact him with advise as to our pre and post accommodation

Dragon, thanks for the info about Megan. Now I know why my TA hasn't had a reply to her emails. I would have thought someone else would have been made responsible to reply to her emails, even if they didn't take on her other work.

We will be in Frankfurt for 4 nights between our Spain & RR tour, but hadn't decided where to stay for the pre-tour night. However, it looks as though most of you are staying in the Insight hotel, so will get our TA to check the availability for us.

We are having trouble up here in the USA also. I've written before that we were contacted by nice human voices from California and they took our registration and our full payments. No problem to that point.

They told us (Katinwa and I) that our pre-night requests were on file BUT that they were installing a new system. They couldn't make our flight reservations until this "new system" got installed.

Since then (around November 1), we have had a rough time making progress. That's why we made our own flight reservations. One gal told me that they would need that info so I sent a long e-mail to "contact us" and asked someone to respond that it had been received. I did not even get an automated response. It may be in cyberspace. Maybe some rich millionaire will read it and meet me at the plane in Frankfurt!

So we all wait for John to respond with the next step.

Dear Bulletin Board Members,

I am writing to you with regards to a number of areas.

Firstly, although you receive bounce back emails from Beverley Rose, this does not mean that your emails are not being read. Unfortunately, due to a change in appointments here in the office recently, the moderator has changed and so the emails are currently in the process of being re-directed. For this I apologise, we were not aware that this is where the emails were being sent to. However, please rest assured that I have read and processed any emails that have been sent to me.

Secondly, you do not need to email me directly, unless you wish the information to remain confidential. The Bulletin Board is checked regularly and so any new information on there is logged and processed.

Thirdly, with regards to your pre/post tour nights. It is relevant for me to know this information so our product department can request rooms from the hotel. Please go back to the TA you have booked your tour through as our reservations department have been given this information already.

Fourthly, we have installed a new system, which has inevitably had some teething problems. We appreciate your patience on this and I shall ask for this to be investigated further.

If you have any questions with regards to any of these points then please do not hesitate to make a comment on the board and I shall endeavour to answer any queries you may have.

Just a note to say that I just sent a note to Jennifer Samson - listed on the e-mail automated reply to John. The California office still says they cannot input the request for a pre-night room.

We KNOW it will eventually work out!!!!

Just a note to say that Jennifer Samson is doing a great job! BUT she says that California may not be able to make our pre-night reservations. She's working on it, but a problem at the moment!
