Tuffet we paid for our tour last week to get all the discounts and pre-hotel in Frankfurt. I always check out the cost of all pre stay hotels, especially if I am going to stay more than one night, every penny I can save I can put it towards optionals. I am now checking out a hotel in Washington DC, I found out I can get it a lot cheaper going through the hotel than using my travel agent. We have now 7 months to go now before we all meet, not long now Smiler

Like you Tuppence, we try to save on costs to pay for optionals & also for more trips in the future. That's why I was so cross with myself for making such a mistake.

I know we can save money if we book our accommodation ourselves, but I'm concerned that if anything goes wrong our insurance won't cover those things that haven't been booked by the travel agent.

We still haven't made a final decision about what to do for 4 nights after the RR tour finishes. We were thinking about Prague, but a friend in England has uggested a 4 night river cruise. I love that idea, but now have to find one that starts on Sep. 3rd. Still looking, but I live in hopes.

I have been checking out hotel prices and I cannot do better than what Insight is offering in Frankfurt.


When you travel, remember that a foreign country is not designed to make you comfortable. It is designed to make its own people comfortable.
