We have just returned from the European Grandeur Tour and I would like to say how fantastic our tour director was. He was so terrific I would like to start a fan club for him. Would anyone who has had Bob Willemse as a
Tour Director like to add anything to this page it would be great. He was so professional and took care of all the minor details so well I think he deserves all the praise we can give him. It isn't an easy job looking after all those people and seeing to all their needs. Thanks Bob for making our holiday great. I will be home in about 4 weeks and will be writing our tour tale then but in the meantime thanks Bob.

We completed the same tour as Pat and Rod and I fully concur with Pat's comments. It was an honour to have such a gifted and dedicated TD as Bob WILLEMSE. We have travelled with other companies and Bob has come in on top of the list by a long way.

Count me in as a member of the Bob Willemse fan club! He was our European Grandeur TD in 2005 and spoiled us for our subsequent TDs. He was funny, well read, charming, informative, and genuinely concerned about everyone's enjoyment and comfort.

I was Bob's "problem child." I got sick on the boat to Capri, I lost my passport in Italy, I was sometimes motionsick. I was only one of three vegetarians (one of the other vegs was Bob himself). With all my problems, Bob was always helpful and attentive.

Yes, yes, we had Bob as a tour director for the Highlights of Europe tour on 4 October 2008.

We wouldn't have enjoyed the tour as much as we did if it wasn't for him... Bob was fantastic!! We hope to have him again for our next tour if that is ever possible. We will definitely recommend him to anyone joining the trip and is looking for a tour director, who is thoughtful, helpful, and very friendly! Cool

Honestly, it is so hard to find someone like Bob - he is a gem in this industry! Smiler

Fellas I think we need to be a bit careful here. We have done six Insight tours...4 European and two British. We had Bob on one tour and yes he was great. But remember it is the overall TOUR that counts. We had another TD in Italy who did a good job but was such a showman that he always had to be the center of attention. In Britain we had Paul Fischer who just seemed to get the balance right, and thats what I look for, not " the TD show " ITTS...its the tour stupid..just a thought.

Appologies, I am not a Insight Vacation traveler but an old (school)friend of Bob. All described + the pictures confirm it is the one and only Bob. I am trying to get in touch with him. Bob, if you are reading this please drop me a line, perhaps anybody else can give me a hint on how to get in touch with him.
Thanks

Apparently a lot of people have Facebook accounts/identities. If no one here on Insight, comes back with a more possitive hint, you might try looking for him there.
