We were up on Mt Pilatus in June last year and it was hot, especially when we walked up the stairs to the very top. I just took a light cardigan with me.
Hope you get a great day and wonderful views like we had.

On one tour in late September, we visited Mt. Pilatus when most of it was covered with snow.

Most of us threw snow balls at each other. I had a long sleeve shirt on, which was ok, even in the snow. Wink

On another tour a few years later, in mid September, there was no snow and it was ok temperature wise.

That's fantastic! I'm glad you were well looked after.
We were there in October and it was coldish. Only needed a normal jacket and scarf though.
Unfortunately for us it was cloud soup and you couldn't see your hand infront of your face at times.
Still... I'm glad we got to go up.

The comment about down coat was a joke, everyone, a joke = Wink
Considering the day I had, I thought I was doing pretty well just to have any sense of humor left.

Buon viaggio!

Hi Marcy

My wife and I are doing the "road to rome" london-rome trip starting in london 24th june. Sounds like we could be on the same trip. Also staying an extra night in rome to unwind even further.

Seeya there........

The itinerary is very similiar, but in reverse, and adds Salzburg Austria.
At least all the anxiety is gone.

Welcome to the board PHIL Mac!
Yes- I believe we are on the same tour. I'm traveling with my sister and her grandson. I'm guessing this is your first INSIGHT - Is it your first time in Europe?

G'day again Marcy,

Yeap, we're both european virgins (so to speak), so are quite excited. Albeit slightly confused about "optionals" etc but am getting some good gos off the postings. Sounds like its a "go with the flow" sort of thing yet need to keep some time for relaxing and wandering.

You're obviously a seasoned 'Insighter' from what I can read with all your postings. Kind of comforting that you picked this trip, as we just chose it at random.

I'm working in South Africa nad my wife is working in Wollongong near Sydney. We plan to meet up in Heathrow on the 23rd June and do some sightseeing before the tour starts on 24th.

Can't wait.

Regards,

McPhil

Sorry for getting your name wrong McPhil - I'm at work and tend to get a bit sloppy.
I really didn't choose this trip. Originally my sister chose the Rome to London. That tour got cancelled and INSIGHT offered us this one. My sis and I have travelled together several times with INSIGHT and we always have had a GREAT time!

I look forward to meeting you and your wife! Safe trips!

Buon viaggio!
