Buona sera tutti,
I have expressed concerns about my Rome to London 19 June departure. The 26 June departure had been removed from the website a few weeks ago. Well I found out this morning - not by anyone calling me, but by me checking out the website - that my 19 June departure was "withdrawn." I was told this afternoon that subsequent E925 trips were also "withdrawn" so we could not simply shift our dates. I thought this morning that I'd be posting a scathing BB Message about Insight and their TGs etc, etc. Instead I will SING THEIR PRAISES!!!! They have given us a very similar tour, but of greater value. Granted I have had a very stressful day trying to shift flights (we booked separately) and schedules, but overall I am very pleased how Insight has stepped up to the plate. They remain the number 1 tour operator in my book! Buon viaggio! Marcy |

To BellaLuna Glad to read that all has worked out well for you. Which tour are you going on now. I am counting down the days and hoping that our tour is not cancelled.

We're taking "Road to Rome" departing 21 June. We've also decided to stay an additional day in Rome at the end of the tour because the airfare for a 5 July return was exhorbitant, but is nearly identical to our original fare if we fly on 6 July.
The itinerary is very similiar, but in reverse, and adds Salzburg Austria. At least all the anxiety is gone. Buon viaggio! Marcy |

You will love Rome. I had 5 days there before flying to London in 2006. Friends have done the Road to Rome tour and had a great time. Their photos were great and you will get to go to Lucern another place I would like to go back to. Make sure you do the tour to the village in the hills if you can. It was like you were part of a story book just a wonderful place to see everything was so green and the houses so very neat and tidy. While in Lucerne walk across the bridge and go Jesuit Church which was constructed in 1666. I hope that you have a good clear day when you go up Mt. Pilatus. Would love to read what you think about your trip when you get back.

Marcy, Good for you. We can't seem to find anyone on this forum taking our 6/5 Rome to London tour. Makes me wonder, but my TA has assured me she has spoken to Insight and it is a go. Since ours' is a a bit sooner than your's surely we will hear something if it is otherwise.
No matter where we go, we will have a fantastic time. Just pleased you are not disappointed. |

Buongiorno Miss Lou,
You were definitely in my thoughts yesterday. I figured your departure was a "GO" as Insight would have had to inform you otherwise probably two weeks ago. We'll all have a great time. As long as I'm travelling, all the hassles get forgotten! Buon viaggio! Marcy |

Buongiorno PamH,
Ah, my heart already belongs to Rome - I've been there many times (mostly on my own). I've also been to London with my sister (who is on this upcoming trip) and we had a blast. I'm very excited about Paris, Lucerne and Salzburg. My biggest worry right now is how to pack my down coat, wooly mittens, and scarf for the trip up to Mt. Pilatus As this will be our first "multi-nation" with Insight, I'll be sure to post a Tour Tale. Buon viaggio! Marcy |

Hi! I'm not sure WHEN you are going to Mt. Pilatus, but I have never heard of anyone needing their downy coat. You are in a cable car and then in an enclosed building UNLESS you want to walk around outside. Maybe someone who has done it in winter will advise you differently, but I surely would not take my downy coat to Lucerne.
Can anyone else respond to this? |

Just went back and found your dates - mid summer. We sweltered in Lucerne in early June two years ago. It will indeed be extraordinary for you to need your down coat.
Take your jacket and maybe a sweatshirt! |
