I wanted to take a few moments to send a huge thank you to Insight for the addition of Definite Departures to the Rates and Dates page of the tours I am doing

What a fabulous idea the Definite Departures feature is!

After the massive disappointment of Trafalgar Tours cancelling my Britannia Tour (planned and dreamed about for 2 yrs) I have been very nervous about my two booked tours with Insight.

I passionately want to do the Elegance of Great Britain (was planning to do it when it was The Country Roads, Stately Homes and Gardens of Britain... all those wonderful castles to see. yummmy!)and am very excited about the European Breakaway (replacement tour for the Britannia).

I have been concerned that the tours would be cancelled for lack of numbers. The addition of the Definite Departures feature has taken the worry out of my life leaving me free to focus on planning my holiday, especially given both of my tour dates are now marked DEF. Strangely enough I had few concerns about the Elegance being cancelled right up to the moment Trafalgar cancelled my tour 2 days after telling me it was going ahead and was fully booked.

Thank you Insight for stepping in to reduce your travellers' stress and worry in these uncertain times.

Jeni, I am very happy to hear that yours tours are now a definite go. I know you will enjoy them very much.
I too want to thank Insight. When Mr. Boulding posted the news about the "definite" designation, I mentioned in my reply that Insight had just cancelled my April 23 Romantic European. Just today, my TA, Insight reps and SAS reps were able to all coordinate schedules and get me on the April 30 departure.

Good addition to enhance the participation.....sometimes it can be unsettling not knowing if the tour is going ahead...and extending the lead time to 90 days a real plus....

Def departues are a godsend Smiler The Def departures are great for those of us that tend to worry. Being abe to log on and check how a tour is progressing relieves one's mind allowing us to concentrate on other things Smiler.

Jeni, sorry to hear how hard organising your tours has been. I hate the nail biting suspens of not knowing exactly what is happening regarding my tours. I hope you enjoy the ones that you have now chosen Smiler
