Hi,
I have a question for a director of Highlights of Italy Jun 20/09.. I am meeting my tour in Venice - Holiday Inn Marghera Jun22. Would you know what time my group is going to be there? Would they let me go in my room before my group arrives?

Hi Adrijana

On previous experience, you will not be given a room until around 2pm, which is normal check in time. Sometimes you can be lucky, but more often it is strictly 2pm. Why don't you drop Insight a line by email. They will tell you who your tour director is and quite often you can find out what time the group meets for the first time.

Adrijana-Even if the hotel won't let you check in until 2:00 pm, most hotels have a locked storage room where you can leave your luggage until check-in. Leave your locked luggage in there after you arrive and then you can go out and about without dragging it around or worrying about it. Smiler

Hi I did the Highlights of Italy last summer-hope its not as hot for you. It was a LOOONG drive from Rome to Venice stopping in Assisi. There was also some traffic problems as well. I think we arrived around 5:30 Pm. A group went out for a dinner and stroll of Venice at night. I was just too exhausted. Have you read my tour tale-i think it is the only one on here. It will give more details.
