The unthinkable has happened, we have just heard that our tour has been cancelled. Insight have offered us the one leaving a week later but we have other plans that can not be changed.
We are so disappointed. Since the European Adventurer stopped in Paris first, we are now having trouble finding a tour that will fit our plans as it needs to have the last stop in Europe in Amsterdam.
We have booked a train to Brussels and Flights to Athens, so back to the drawing board, looking through brochures, etc.
I really wanted to see Austria, but most of the tours miss Austria out.
I know Karen and Will have experienced this, has anyone else?

Highlights of Europe takes in Insbruck and Salzburg, which is why I took it last year. You could finish in Paris, rather than going back to London, but you would still need to get Brussels for your train and you would have to check the dates. It is a 14 day tour. I hope you find something.

Have been checking other Tour Groups and we are checking availability of a Trafalger Tour which ends up in Amsterdam before returning to London.
We wanted to stay with Insight but nothing really fits, as it needs to leave the 2 September and end prior to the 15th September.
We are actually in the UK/Europe from the 9th August, so there has been quite alot to organise.
How did you find your Tour?

I loved it, it was my first trip to Europe. I am going on the Europe Explorer this year. It is a guaranteed tour. I have a week in London from September 1, the tour is leaving September 9. I get to revisit some of the places I have been before and five new places.

All the best, hope everything turns out for the best for you.

Thanks, you too.
After this experience I would only book a Guaranteed Departure Tour.
I am quite amazed at how many tours are already full around the time we want to go. Either full or cancelled!!!

The popular ones do seem to fill up quickly. I wanted to do the Romantic European Tour but when I went to book in February for September it was already full, I was offered a second bus but decided not to take it, but to do the Explorer instead. In my job I can only get time off in September so am limited. At least the weather is still good in September.

It's amazing isn't it?
September is my best time to travel too.
We booked for the September Romantic European in August the year previous. 13 months ahead of time! I was surprised to see how quickly the airline flights booked out too!

You must be getting excited Laj.

I leave in ten weeks, I am sure the time will fly, I work in a school, so when you work term by term it breaks the year up. I can't believe the year is half gone already!

Are you having any time in London before you leave on your tour? My tour leaves on September 9, I leave Brisbane on August 31, I have 9 days in UK before my tour begins, I am really looking forward to the trip, but not so much to the flight. I guess because I know it is a long haul.

Hi Gen
We could not find an Insight Tour to fit our schedule, so have now booked a Trafalgar Tour which leaves on the same day the Insight would of but ends two days earlier. We do not have to change so much thougn, as it end up in Amsterdam prior to returning to London, so only have to change the Brussels flight to Athens.
We were wanting to do an Insight Tour, but it just has not worked out this time.
We have decided to do an overnight inland tour of greece, either to Metereora, or Delphi?
Has anyone done these trips?
Where are you staying in London, we are staying the 1st September at the Thistle Kensington Park Hotel for a night prior to our tour. We could not get into the tour departure hotel, as booked.

Hi MaiNZ
I would definitely recommend Meteora, having been to both of these places. It is really worth seeing. I'm sure you will have a great time with Trafalgar.
