Hi Marg Ellen,
I have just done the tour you are about to embark on and had 22 wonderful days. My only comment, note not critisism, is more time to do your own thing, but this is also a choice given to tour members. I hope you are fortunate in having a wonderful TD. Ours was Gary Yunge a great guy who went out of his way to make sure everyone was comfortable and happy and our driver Antonio was also just great. What a team. Hope you have a wonderful time and yes, walking distance to your departure hotel. Enjoy. |

I would take the train from St Pancras station. It would be faster and less expensive than a taxi. However that also depends on how much luggage you are bringing with you. I saw a lot of people lugging there luggage around on the metro last year and they weren't looking at all pleased about it considering some stations have many many stairs and no working lift. www.tfl.co.uk is a great website with tube maps and city maps. It will also tell you what trains/buses you need to take if you put in your to and from addresses! Hope this helps! Jem |

Does anyone know how far the distance from Holiday Inn - kings cross Hotel to the kings cross station is?
Also, how far is it from Holiday Inn - Kings Cross to Victoria Coach Station? Thank you for your help |

It will take you about 10 to 15 minutes to walk assuming you are reasonably fit and depending on the amount of luggage you have. It is straight down one street opposite the Station but I can't remember the name of the street, except to say that the address of the Holiday Inn should be in that street. As far as Victoria station is concerned, walk back from the Holiday Inn to Kings Cross and take the Tube using the Victoria Line direct to Victoria Station. Victoria is the fifth station, the train's destination will be Brixton |
