I am on the Southern Italy and Sicily April 15 tour and the Italy Country Roads Tour April 22. We will be flying out of Palermo in the early evening on our own on April 23 in order to leave on the bus with the second tour out of Rome on April 24. We will be arriving in the evening after the meeting with the tour director (welcoming drink). How do we make contact that evening? This is my first escourted tour.

I'm sure the TD will leave a message for you at the reception in the hotel giving details of leaving time etc the next morning. In the unlikely event that that doesn't happen ask the receptionist for the times (they generally know these things). There should also be the tour poster somewhere in reception which gives the details too.

Colleen has answered perfectly. Your TD will do exactly as she says. There are many people taking multiple tours so we are all very used to late arrivals! Your Southern Italy tour (W400B) will be Stephanie Jordan and your Country Roads of Italy tour TD will be Alison Gatt. I'm sure both will welcome you on board and make you feel comfortable! Steve

I can certainly recommend your Country Roads of Italy TD, Alison Gatt. She was our TD on a Grand Tour of Italy & Sicily last May. (The link is to my tour journal.)
Steve, if you get the opportunity, would you please pass on our very warm regards to Alison and see if she remembers the three Australian males she referred to as the "three musketeers".
