Hi, On the subject of Morocco has any one done the best of Morocco. After checking out the current brochures I seem really tempted, and then doing spain and portugal on there own, any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks again Smiler

We looked at the brochures too, and noticed that Best of Spain and Portugal is an exact fit ( departure and arrival day) to follow Best of Morocco, so that is what we are doing next September.

I was trying to decide if I should do the treasures of SPM or Best of S&P and leave Morocco for another time and also comparing it to what Trafalgar was offering. I like that Ingsight has the Cordoba option here and also have a better tour of Madrid which Trafalgar did not. Are the days on the coach very long? How safe is it for a single female travelling in these countries? Thanks!

Only 7 sleeps to go until my SPM tour! Quite a few of my plane flights were rearranged due to the fuel crisis but nevertheless, it has still worked out well. Insight no longer provides cabin bags but I still have a few from previous trips. Apparently, they are "environmentally unfriendly" according to Insight. Should be a great tour and am so looking forward to it.

Jaytee,
We have almost 3 months to go to do this tour and I look forward to your impressions. A work colleague has just returned and said it was good. But she surprisingly (to me and her) enjoyed Spain more than Morocco. She did say the hotel in Rabat was simply awful but most were pretty good and some very good. I was concerned about the hotel in Madrid as we have an extra night there pre-tour, but she said it was good, especially the amenities in the bathroom, and the breakfast was superb. But not to eat there as it was very expensive.

Hope you enjoy the tour.

You shouldn't be concerned at all dragonlady. We spent almost one week pre tour and one night post tour at the NH Eurobuilding in 2006. Loved it, and the breakfasts are to die for. As we had an extended stay there we ate mainly away from the hotel but had some nice meals at the coffee shop on the ground floor.

We thought all hotels on the tour including the one in Rabat were first class.

Have a great tour!! Jim Smiler
