Just wanted to know if anyone has been on the wonders of Iceland tour and some feedback on it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sonia,

We have not actually been to Iceland with Insight but did visit Reykjavik and Akureyri on a Cruise a few years back. It is a fantastic destination, especially so if you are into all things 'au natural'. We went mid July and experienced 23 hours of daylight and balmy temperatures of 10 degrees .... Cool

Unfortunately they do have a few mosquitoes so an insect repellent is a good idea at certain times of the year, a bulging pocket book is another essential as prices on this island are sky high.

Have you already checked for pics in the 'Photo Gallery' and/or done an 'Iceland' search in 'Find' box for related comments ?

Regards Roger

Thks Roger for the info.
Have not been able to locate any pics in the Photo Gallery.
It's a choice between Egypt or Iceland next year so have a few more months to decide.

Hi Sonia,
On the tour I just completed there was a couple who had just done Iceland and enjoyed it although they thought they may have been better to do it themselves. They were usually independant travellers so that may have coloured their opinions.
It sounds like a good tour to plan to take with another tour if you had the time. However since you are from Canada it may not be so far to fly as it is from Aus - we are always planning to do more than one thing to justify the flying hours. Big Grin
There were also others who after finishing the Scandinavian tour were heading to Iceland. The trouble is not everyone who tours looks at the BB and then to actually post info or photos.
I have always wanted to go to Iceland and Egypt, so maybe I should go quickly and let you know!! Big Grin
Good luck with your decisions - It is always fun planning.
YOu will have a fabulous time whatever you choose.
Eve

Hi again,

I could send you 15 pics for each of our two Icelandic destinations if they would be of any use to you. If you have broadband I could ship all 30 as thumbnails in the one 'send'.

Should you subsequently fancy any, or even all, of them at full resolution then we can achieve this via e-mail. The sizes of these particular pics are circa 1600 x 1200.

Kind regards Roger
