My husband and I may be going on the Italian Escapades tour on Oct. 3. I was wondering if anyone has been on a tour in Italy at this time of year. How is the weather? I need to know how to dress. Thanks.

SQA,

I went on the Best of Italy tour during the last two weeks of September and the weather was fabulous. It was quite warm in southern Italy, enough so that I had to wear a hat when out in the sun. We experienced some showers around Venice and the lake area, but it was never cold....just wet. I wore either a skirt or capris practically the whole time I was there. Occasionally I wore a light sweater when I went out in the evening.

I am from California and I found the weather very similar to home. I found that all the clothes that I wear here in September, were perfect for Italy.

I fell in love with Italy and the Italian people. I am sure you will also. I think it will be hard to beat. I have since been to France and London, loved them, but so far........ there's nothing like Italy for me.

Have a wonderful and safe trip.

Live each day as if it were your last.

we did the tour that same week last year. The weather was great except for a downpour in Florence. the temps are moderate and cool in the evenings. A pleasure for walking and sightseeing.

badger71,

sqa posted back in May 2004 and hasn't posted since then.
Don't be surprised if he/she doesn't respond.
Italian Escapes is a great tour. I did it back in 2001.
