I would love to do one of the Christmas Market Tours and this may be something I will do as my husband wants to go back to New Zealand in early March to go to the Golden Shears.

Hi Laj, do you know whether an iron in every hotel you are staying refers to an iron in your room or a community iron.
On my last trip, one of the hotels I stayed in, provided a community iron (located in the hallway). Wasn't that convenient - obviously I wasn't the only one needing to iron. Although I have already packed my iron, in view of your comments I'm still considering- mind you I weigh in at 13 kilos (including suitcase which weighs 5), so still got room to spare. My carry on weight will come in under 1 kilo. |

All of the hotels we stayed at in Britain and Ireland last year had irons in the room. This year in Eastern Europe many did as well as a kettle. If I was going to other parts of Europe I would pack the iron but that is just me.

I hear being fashionably wrinkled is all the rage..
Wait .. was that clothes or skin?! Admire the light packing Laj. Are you now setting the standard for us to live up to? I always have good intentions but keep thinking of 'just in case' scenarios. Forget the iron..more room for souvenirs...like a lepracaun. I gave up ironing after awhile on our last trip and dont think I looked too bad (clothes wise) as like to look reasonable for photos. Remember everyone is in the same boat..bus! I hope you have a wonderful time and will look forward to reading about it when you return. Eve ps Do you have to declare the lepracaun? Bring back the pot of gold instead. |
